Our Staff
Our group is proud to provide meaningful, educational, and fun summer employment opportunities for local students and youth. Working with a watershed group is a great way for students in the environmental field to gain hands-on experience with river restoration and monitoring, plant and wildlife identification, and research.

Harriet Dreise
Watershed Coordinator

Harriet started working for HCWG in the fall of 2020 as a coop student from UPEI. After finishing her work term at the end of 2020, she came back as the data management technician for the summer of 2021. She graduated from UPEI with a BSC in biology, with a specialization in environmental biology and also completing her honours project which used eDNA to determine the presence and absence of river herring in PEI streams. Harriet started as coordinator in July 2023 and loves biking, hiking, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

Emma MacNeill
Field Supervisor
Emma started at HCWG in the fall of 2022 as an intern through UPEI. After finishing her internship she returned for the 2023 field season as a field technician. After graduating from UPEI with her degree in environmental studies and a minor in biology, she returned full time to the watershed in the spring of 2024 as project manager and has been with HCWG since. Emma enjoys hiking with her dog Henry, going on trail rides with her horse, spending time with family and friends, and reading.
